What to expect

SMALL GROUP TOURS
For Parents: See Billings in Action

Prospective parents and guardians will tour the Billings campus during school hours and see several classes in session and participate in a question and answer session with the Head of School, Director of Admissions, and teachers. Tours are optional, but strongly encouraged. We will release tour dates soon (for students applying for the 2018/19 school year). Registration will be open in September on your Ravenna account.

OPEN HOUSES
For Families: Explore a Billings Education

Following a short welcome, prospective students and families can explore the Billings campus.  Families have the opportunity to meet teachers, ask questions, and see what students are currently working on in open classrooms. Open Houses are optional events on November 9th and December 2nd. Registration will be open in September on your Ravenna account.

STUDENT VISIT DAYS
For Students: A Day-in-the-Life at Billings (regular admission season only!)

After receiving your completed preliminary application and parent statement, you will be able to register your student for a Visit Day in your Ravenna account. Students will experience Billings classes and activities firsthand. We do not require standardized testing as a part of our application process, but during Visit Day we will conduct our own short assessments in Math and Language Arts. Your student may receive accommodations for learning differences at school. If so, feel free to let us know in advance and we will be happy to provide those at Visit Day. We want all visiting students to have the best day possible. Prior to your Visit Day, please print an Emergency Permission Form to bring with you. Please bring a lunch and warm clothing appropriate for walking to Green Lake Park and being outside for up to an hour. The Student Visit Day is central to the application process and to your student's understanding of our program. Students applying outside of the regular admission cycle will be scheduled for a Visit Day by the admission team on a case-by-case basis.

PARENT INTERVIEWS
For Parents: Help Us See and Know Your Child

After receiving your completed preliminary application and parent statement, prospective parents and guardians will be invited to talk with two Admissions team members about how Billings could stretch, support, and inspire your student during their middle school years. Interviews usually last 30 minutes and are central to the application process.
