OVERVIEW

In Sixth-Grade Language Arts, our main goal is to build confidence as both a reader and writer of English. Through a variety of activities, we will read and discuss poetry, stories, essays, novels and plays, representing different global voices, to unlock the magic that lies within them. We will write in a variety of styles, for a variety of audiences, emphasizing ideas/content, organization, word choice, voice, fluency and mechanics.  We will also explore Greek roots, suffixes and prefixes and English grammar.
