US HISTORY 7
CATHERINE ADAMS

OVERVIEW

The United States History curriculum is divided into three thematic units –

  • Who Are We?:  Identifying Stakeholders in American History;
  • Building a Country:  First Colonies, Revolution, Our Constitution and Government;
  • The American Experience: Immigration, Civil Rights and Social Justice in America

 We will also do some mini-units and look at a number of case studies.  Throughout the year students will examine issues through a Washington State lens and examine what they are learning in more depth through field trips and excursions around the state.
